Junji Ito Homage

I discovered Junji Ito's work in the horror genre in 2022. His stories and illustrations are a great source of inspiration for my work. The dark themes of disgust and impending doom inflicted on his characters and their journey are beautifully crafted.

I reimagine his work on 18"x14" charcoal pads, and put my own twist that build off of his previous illustrations mood and energy. I refer to these large scale drawings as studies.
